LEARNING FLAG RISING AND SCOUT SYMBOLIC FRAMEWORK

Today new scouts learning the tradition of a flag break ceremony that is compulsory for the start of scout activities. Newly appointed patrol leaders learnt to make a flag pole using newly-learnt lashing and knots. The activity continues with horse-shoe and reciting the scout promise and law.

As promised to the principal, activities now are carried out indoors and the troop continued the class in the auditorium where they were given handouts on meanings in the Scout Logo and Scout Salute. They discovered the many of the scout logos and methods inter-relate and this was explained as some of the Symbolic Framework created by Word Scout Movement.

The class took notes and end of session was passed over to Cikgu Rabiatul, the teacher-in-charge of troop 1012. Everyone look forward to the next class to learn about History of Scouting with videos!
